a community refreshed in grace

Welcome

At livingWATERS we have three streams from which our ministry flows: Celebration, Connection & Community Outreach.  One stream springs forth large group gatherings of celebration!  This celebration brings the “greater” more diverse and some times scattered people of God together for times of worship, communion, encouragement, baptism, child dedication and other body or family life events.  Our large group celebration services bring us together to celebrate what God has done and what God is doing in our lives together.

Winter ’10 ~ the GOD of Promise!
One of the great unifying themes of Scripture is “Promise”
Our God is a God of promise (Genesis 9:9-17) and He is faithful to keep His promises:
“God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” ~ Numbers 23:19
The promises of our faithful God are woven throughout the Old & New Testament.

Living in the very Great & Precious Promises of God!
“Do you not know?  Have you not heard?  The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He will not grow tired or weary . . .” ~ Isaiah 40:28

“His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness . . . He has given us His very great and precious promises so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world.” ~ 2 Peter 1:3-4

What are the great promises of God & how can we daily live in His promises?
Each week we will look at one of the very great & precious promises of God through the eyes and ears of both the Old & New Testament Scriptures.  May we learn together how to participate in the great promises of our God!

"Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind & strength"

Worship is our celebration of God through Jesus Christ, exalting Him and His Word, and giving Him glory for His involvement in ourlives.

* We desire to have God as our primary audience and focus
* We desire a freedom in worship that demonstrates acceptance of each other's expressions and traditions of worship to God

* We desire to build an atmosphere that is welcoming to a diverse community of people (age, culture, faith journey, etc.)
* We desire to create an environment of involvement that calls people to actively worship God
* We desire to reflect the kingdom of God where people from every tribe, nation and tongue will worship together

As did the early church (Acts 2:42), we devote ourselves to four practical elements of New Testament worship.  We are devoted to: 1) the apostle's teaching (preaching & teaching is Biblically-based), 2) the fellowship (building relationships), 3) the breaking of bread (communion) and 4) prayer. All that Christ has done for us calls us to worship Him!

Our highest value as a worshipping community at livingWATERS is to become a people who worship and love God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
