Meeting at Kenwood Trail Middle
School
Wednesdays this
Summer TBD
Our vision is to create an “All Access” environment where any teen can feel welcome and be ministered to, regardless of their level of spiritual commitment. By focusing on relevant issues and showing God’s perspective on life through scripture and relationship, we seek to see this generation of young people defined not by the standards of the world but by a relationship with Jesus.
Because needs and abilities are so different for Middle School and High School students, we have recently developed separate programs for them on Wednesday nights. All students can hang out and interact together before and after youth group but during the structured program hour of 7pm-8pm they meet in a Middle School program (grades 6-8) and a High School program (grades 9-12).
What to expect…
- On a typical Wednesday night students and adult volunteers start showing up around 7pm to hang out. Each night might include worship in music (adult lead or student lead), games, and a short talk about a topic that is relevant to students lives.
- During the 7-8pm hour of program students spend about 20-30 minutes in Core Groups. These are small groups of 4-8 students and an adult that are consistent from week to week. In these groups students connect with each other and with the topic for the night as well as spend time praying for each other. From 8-8:30pm students and adults hang out and play games. This is a valuable time for our adult volunteers to connect with students and build relationships with them.
CURRICULUM
We are always adapting Wednesday night curriculum to be relative to what teens are facing in the world today. We try to challenge their knowledge of scripture and lifestyle in a way that teaches life long Christian’s; while also reaching out to a non believer. This is a great time for teens to invite friends. If you have questions please contact us.
