livingWATERS church

Welcome to livingWATERS church!  We hope that you will join us for worship and that you will experience an authentic, grace- filled, life-giving place of worship.

A short account of our history:

In the spring of 2001, the idea of a new church start in Lakeville was conceived by the leadership of Berean Baptist Church (Burnsville).  Berean voted to set apart Scott & Julie Peterson for this ministry and extended a call to Scott to serve as the church planting pastor in November 2001.  Twenty-five adults committed to serve as a “core group” to develop the vision and values of this new church.  We are affiliated with the Minnesota Baptist Conference (MBC) of churches and the Baptist General Conference (BGC) World Mission organization.

The name, livingWATERS was chosen and Century Junior High was selected as our meeting place for worship.  Our first “practice” Sunday of our full education and worship service was March, 24, 2002, with 175 adults and children in attendance.  Our “Grand Opening” Easter Celebration was held on March 31, 2002, with 380 people attending the worship celebration.  In September of 2008, the church relocated the meeting place for worship to Kenwood Trail Middle School, also in Lakeville.

We are excited about God’s continued leading and building of this people called livingWATERS church.  Maybe He is calling you to be a part of this exciting adventure; you are invited to journey toward God with us!
